Renting a car in Ireland is there a charge for crossing the border with the Irish Republic to UK?

When booking a car through Firefly does one access other hire company vehicles apart from Hertz?

Other hire companies apart form Hertz charge to take the hire vehicle to the Irish Republic from UK. Why then is there not a charge to take the Firefly vehicle across the Irish border?

Clicking on this link will open an additional smaller window, with the terms and conditions appertaining to that particular car/supplier. Choose then the CAR tab and look under TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS Try a few different suppliers as each supplier/vehicle type may have a different cross border rule.
