Just enquiring about car hire in June for around a week at Belfast Airport. Could I check how much fully comprehensive insurance is per day?

Yes. Based on your country of residence it will be offered to you online during the booking process after you select a car (at STEP3). The price per day is mentioned there.

As last time I rented a car in Italy it came to like 100 euros a day!

Well, it differs per location and per supplier. Normally at the car rental desk on arrival the Extra Insurance is more expensive but not that expensive. With us it is likely to be between 5-15 euros a day. Some more info:-

Reduce your liability. Most car hire suppliers have excess of between €300-1500. Some as high as 3000. If the car was damaged or stolen (for example) you would be liable to pay the excess amount.
